YOGA WORKSHOP FOR ALIGNMENT EXPLORERS
Exploring the Foundations of Vinyasa

Step onto your mat and rediscover the beauty of moving with awareness. In this workshop, we’ll slow things down to uncover the foundations of Vinyasa yoga. Through breath, alignment, and mindful transitions, you’ll build a steady, confident, and safe practice that supports you in any class.
This course is ideal for beginners in yoga, seasoned practitioners who would like to review and work on alignment of asanas using props, as well as yoga teachers who would like to observe how to teach yoga at beginner level.

What to Expect

•Explore the inner mechanics of yoga, focusing on the breath and the energetic locks (bandhas), and learn how they guide and energize your practice.

•Break down the sun salutations, posture by posture, and discover how to move through transitions with grace and intention.

•Understand the principles behind forward bends, backbends, and twists, and how to approach them safely and effectively.

•Learn to use props such as blocks and straps to refine your alignment and confidently adapt postures to your body’s needs.

•Conclude with a classic finishing sequence, including gentle inversions and deep relaxation, leaving you grounded, centered, and inspired.

What to Bring

•Comfortable clothing, curiosity, and an open mind.
•Props are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own mat, block, or strap.
•Please avoid eating two to three hours before the workshop for a light and comfortable practice.

FROM GROUND TO AIR - ARM BALANCES
Kakasana, Bakasana, Astavakrasana & Eka Pada Galavasana

Balance begins with grounding.
In this workshop, we dive into the practice of arm balances, exploring how focus, openness, and stability come together to create both lightness and lift.

Through a thoughtfully sequenced practice, we prepare the body and mind:
We open the hips, engage the core, and build confidence in the delicate balance between strength and release.

We will explore each arm balance:
   •    Kakasana – Crow Pose, a balance that strengthens the shoulders, arms, and core while refining your sense of balance.
   •    Bakasana – Crane Pose, challenging coordination, arm strength, and core control.
   •    Astavakrasana – a side arm balance that combines spinal twist, flexibility, and core engagement.
   •    Eka Pada Galavasana – a hip-opening variation that tests balance, flexibility, and core stability.

During the workshop, we will work on:
   •    Hip mobility and stability
   •    Core activation to support lift and control
   •    Techniques to release fear and cultivate trust in your balance
   •    Transitions, alignment, and adjustments that make each pose unique

Whether you are just beginning or looking to deepen your practice, this workshop offers the chance to explore how stability and lightness can coexist – on the mat and beyond.

A COURAGEOUS HEART
A Backbending Workshop

To open the heart is an act of courage.
It asks us to trust, to meet resistance with breath, and to find freedom in vulnerability.
In this workshop, we’ll prepare the body and mind for deep backbending through gentle spinal twists and progressive heart-opening postures, moving gradually from accessible foundations toward more intense backbends.
You’ll explore how alignment, breath, bandhas, and awareness create the safety and support needed to expand fully without force.
Backbends invite us to open the spiritual heart and the entire front body, the space of sensitivity, compassion, and connection — while strengthening the back body, our physical and energetic support.
Through this balance, we cultivate a strong and steady back that can meet the suffering of the world without closing down — a spine that supports an open, courageous, and compassionate heart.
Together, we’ll awaken strength in the legs and core, mobility in the spine, and softness across the chest and shoulders — embodying the balance of stability and surrender.
This is not about achieving the deepest shape, but about discovering how courage and compassion can coexist in every movement.
Open your heart, connect with your breath,  and let courage become your teacher.

YOGA PHILOSOPHY, THE EIGHT-LIMBED PATH OF PATANJALI, PRANAYAMA, MEDITATION AND CHANTING WITH KIRTAN TO FINISH

In this workshop, we explore the foundations of yoga beyond the physical practice.
Patanjali is an ancient Indian sage who described the Eight-Limbed Path, which forms the foundation of traditional yoga

You’ll receive an accessible introduction to these core ideas, offering a clearer understanding of how they support both your personal practice and everyday life.
After we have looked at and discussed the eight limbs together, we will also explore some of them in practice — including pranayama and meditation — to experience how these aspects can deepen your connection to yoga.

This workshop is ideal for anyone who wishes to develop a broader understanding of yoga and experience a balanced blend of thoughtful theory and supportive practice.
And we will finish the weekend with Kirtan – Devotional Chanting
To close our weekend together, we will gather for Kirtan, the joyful practice of call-and-response chanting.
Kirtan means “to sing or speak of what is sacred.” Through repeating ancient mantras and names of the divine, we create a shared vibration that lifts the heart and stills the mind.
There is no need for musical experience, your voice, presence, and openness are enough.
Together we will celebrate sound as a form of prayer, community, and release — allowing the energy of our practice to flow into devotion and connection.

A soft and luminous way to complete our time together, one heart, one breath, one song.

All workshops will be taught in English.
